The Jim Fraser Scholarship Fund

On December 5, 2019, long-time golf supporter and 2017 Ontario Golf Hall of Fame honouree, Jim Fraser passed away after a hard-fought battle with ALS.  Former Executive Director of the Canadian Golf Foundation (now the Golf Canada Foundation) and long-time member of the Canadian Seniors' Golf Association, Jim was passionate about assisting young Canadian golfers pursuing post-secondary opportunities in Canada and in the United States. The creation of the Canadian University College Championship and Canadian University Golf Support Program are two of the meaningful initiatives launched during his tenure with the Foundation. To honour his legacy, the CSGA and Golf Canada Foundation have established the Jim Fraser Scholarship to be awarded to aspiring Canadian student athletes pursuing post-secondary opportunities.

Memorial Visitation will be held on Thursday, December 12, 2019 at the Kopriva Taylor Community Funeral Home, 64 Lakeshore Road West, Oakville (one block East of Kerr Street) from 2-4pm and 7-9pm. Funeral Service will be held at St. Judes Anglican Church on Friday, December 13, 2019 at 11am.
